The results are in

The essential part of EGMO 2023 was held on Saturday and Sunday, the problem-solving days. On each of the competition days the contestants were facing 3 problems and had four and a half hours to write their solutions. This year’s problem selection and assessment was being overseen by Ana Meta Dolinar, EGMO advisory board member and jury chair, Luka Horjak, chief coordinator, Klemen Šivic, chair of the problem selection committee, and Brigita Mastnak, chief invigilator.

The final scoreboard can be seen at the official EGMO web site. Out of 213 contestants in total, 26 gold medals, 36 silver medals, 57 bronze medals and 42 honourable mentions were awarded. There were 151 contestants from official European teams, 13 of them received the gold medal, 28 silver, 39 bronze and 33 honourable mentions.

The perfect score was obtained by 14 candidates. The award for the best European team was awarded to the Ukrainian team.
